At its January 2024 meeting, the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) approved the opening of a Call for Comments on the Standards for Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs – Practice Doctorate. This call is being conducted in accordance with the COA’s “Validity, Reliability, and Relevancy of the Council’s Standards” policy, which states that the Council’s community of interest will be surveyed every five years and asked to provide feedback as to whether the Standards are valid, reliable, and relevant indicators for measuring the quality of a nurse anesthesia program. Feedback from the COA’s stakeholders is critical in determining the need for changes in the Standards.
To obtain feedback from the community of interest, a Call for Comments survey on the COA’s Standards was developed and is now open via the following link: Start Survey
Please note that the confidentiality of individual Call for Comments survey responses will be maintained; the results of the survey will be presented for COA review in aggregate.
